Raja Sadha Bakiyam Teachers School And College is right at number 2 on the Perambalur Main Road. We’ve been sitting here in Perambalur for quite some time now. Being on the main road means we see all the traffic and the local life passing by every day. We train people who want to become teachers. It’s a pretty basic operation. We have our classrooms and some office space for the staff. We don't go in for anything fancy or overly corporate. It’s just a place of learning for the local community in the 621212 area. The building is an older one, so it has its quirks, like doors that squeak or windows that stick. We just fix things as they come up. Most of us who work here have lived in Perambalur our whole lives. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just focus on the daily classes and making sure the students have their materials. It’s a lot of routine work, but it’s what we know. Sometimes the main road gets loud with trucks, but we just close the windows and keep going. We are just a local college trying to do right by the people who come through our doors. It’s not a perfect place, but it’s ours and we are proud to be here.
