Pavendar Bharathidasan College Of Engineering & Technology

Our college is located out on Pudhukottai Road, right near Bharathidasan University in Trichy. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, so it feels a bit more open out here. We have various blocks for the different engineering departments and the technology labs. On a typical morning, you’ll see the college buses pulling in and students rushing to get to their first lecture. The sun in Trichy can be quite harsh, so everyone tends to stick to the shaded hallways between classes. We have the usual setup—workshops with machines, computer labs, and plenty of classrooms with wooden benches. It’s not a fancy private campus with glass buildings, but it’s sturdy and functional. The staff stays busy with the paperwork and keeping the labs running. During exam season, the library is the most crowded place on campus. We’ve been here since 1998, so the buildings have that lived-in feel. There’s always a bit of maintenance going on, whether it’s fixing a fan or painting a wall. We don’t spend much time on fancy presentations. Most of the day is just spent going from one class to another or sitting in the staff room grading papers. It’s a regular engineering college where people come to get their degrees and move on to their jobs.
