Oas Engineering & Management College

Oas Engineering & Management College is situated on the Trichy Thuraiyur Main Road in Thinnanur. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city center, so we get a lot of people coming in by bus or on their own bikes. The road outside is always busy with traffic heading toward Thuraiyur. Our campus is fairly spread out. We have different blocks for engineering and management, though everyone ends up meeting at the same food stalls anyway. The buildings are painted in neutral colors that have faded a bit over time. We don’t spend a lot on fancy decorations. Most of our desks are sturdy and have been here since the start. The staff here are mostly locals from Trichy or the nearby villages. We know the area well. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit, and we just wait it out while the generators kick in. It’s a very grounded kind of place. You’ll see students sitting on the steps of the main building, checking their phones or going over notes between their lectures. We don’t have a massive PR team or anything like that. It’s just us, the faculty, and the students trying to make it through the semester. The air is a bit fresher here than in the middle of town, which is a nice change for everyone. We just keep the wheels turning day by day and hope for a good breeze.
