Hotel Royalcourt

We’ve been here at No. 13 Subaha Bhavanam for a while now. It’s right on Vera Kaliamman Kovil Street in the Jaihindpuram area of Madurai. Most people who come here are just looking for a simple place to sleep while they’re in town for work or visiting the temple. We keep things pretty straightforward. It’s not one of those big fancy places you see in magazines, but we try to keep it clean. The street outside can get a bit noisy during the day because there’s always something going on in Madurai, especially near the kovil. We’ve got some staff who have been with us for years. They know the regulars by name. Sometimes the fan in a room might make a bit of noise, or the water takes a minute to get warm, but we fix things when we can. Usually, people just want a bed and a roof, and that’s what we provide here. Living in Jaihindpuram is interesting because you see all sorts of folks passing through. We’ve got the pin code 625011 on all our mail, and that’s how the postman finds us. It’s a busy spot. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy decorations or anything. It's just a local hotel run by local people. We open up early and close late. If you’re around Vera Kaliamman Kovil Street, you’ll see our sign. It's just a regular part of the neighborhood.
