Hotel Kongu Classic

We are situated on Namakal Road in a small town called Kattuputhur, which is part of the Trichy district. It is a bit of a drive to get here from the main Trichy city, but we are right on the road that leads toward Namakal. It’s a quiet area most of the time, though you get the sound of buses and trucks passing by on the main road. Kattuputhur is a simple place, and our hotel is much the same. We don't have a lot of the big city amenities, but we have what people need for a night’s stay. Most of the people who stop here are traveling for work or visiting relatives in the nearby villages. We spend our days mostly just keeping the place running, sweeping the floors, and waiting for the next traveler to pull over. The weather is usually warm, and the road can get a bit dusty during the dry season. We have been here on Namakal Road for a while, and the locals all know us. There isn't any polished marketing here, just us doing the daily chores and making sure the rooms are ready. It’s a very straightforward way of life. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is a bit slow, but that is just how it is in this part of the country. We just do our best with what we have and keep the doors open for anyone passing through. It is a decent enough spot.
