Santhosh Salon

You will find Santhosh Salon at No 2 Balakrishana Building. We are situated in Therku Idatheru, which is in the Puthur area of Trichy. It’s a pretty easy location to get to once you are in Puthur. The shop is part of an older building, so it has a bit of character to it. We have been cutting hair and doing basic grooming here for years. It is a local business, run by local people. We don't use any complicated systems for bookings, you just walk in and we see if a chair is open. Most of the time, you don't have to wait too long. The interior is simple, with some chairs and a few shelves for our combs and lotions. We keep the fans running to stay cool during the Trichy heat. We know a lot of the people who walk past our window every day. It’s a friendly kind of place where you can just sit down and relax for a bit while we work. We don’t do any of those trendy styles you see on TV unless someone really asks, mostly it’s just standard cuts that look neat. The floor is tile and we try to keep it swept, but hair gets everywhere when it’s a busy Saturday. We like being part of the community in Puthur and plan to stay here at the Balakrishana Building as long as we can. It’s just our way of life and we are happy with it.
