New Raam Salon

This is New Raam Salon. We are located on Samayapuram Main Road in Trichy, specifically at the address Old 42 New 81. We are quite close to the Velavan Complex area. This shop has been part of this street for a long time. I took over the place and kept the old name. It is a very basic spot for a haircut or a clean shave. We do not have those fancy spinning chairs, just the old-fashioned ones that are strong and sturdy. The walls have a few posters of different hair styles, but most customers just ask for their usual look. It gets very hot here in Trichy, so the ceiling fan is always turned to high speed. I keep a few old newspapers on the table for people to read while they wait their turn. Sometimes I have a younger boy helping me, but often I am working alone. I know most of the people who walk through the door by their names. We talk about the weather or how the prices are changing at the local market. The sink we use for washing hair is a bit old, but it works just fine. I do not believe in charging people too much for a simple service. It is a neighborhood shop through and through.
