Prn Kavi Salon

Prn Kavi Salon sits on Collector Office Road, right across from the Tmpl building. Being in Ponnagar means we see a lot of office workers and people heading to the government buildings. The shop is at No 186/A. It’s a convenient spot, though parking can be a bit of a headache during the middle of the day. We have three chairs, but usually, only two are working at any given time. The walls are painted a light green that has faded over the years where the sun hits it through the front window. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a sturdy ceiling fan that clicks on the second setting. There’s a small radio that we keep tuned to the local station for some background music. It helps pass the time when things are slow. We do a lot of shaves here. The foam we mix up has a strong lemon scent that lingers in the air. People know us for being quick but not messy. We see students, clerks, and retired folks mostly. Sometimes the younger guys show us a picture on their phone of what they want, and we do our best to match it with our scissors. It’s a steady job. We open up around eight and usually wrap things up when the street lights come on. It’s just a regular Trichy shop doing regular work for the locals who live around here.
