Being located inside the Hotel Ramyas Complex near the Central Bus Stand means there is never a dull moment. Williams Road is always full of people moving about, and we get a lot of that energy filtering into the clinic. We’re right there in the Cantonment area, which is a convenient spot for anyone coming off the buses or staying nearby. The clinic itself is a place where things are constantly moving. We spend a lot of our time setting up the chairs, cleaning the mirrors, and making sure all the supplies are stocked up for the day. It’s not a fancy spa with soft music; it’s more of a practical place where women from the neighborhood come to get their regular stuff done. You might hear the staff chatting about their day or the sounds of the traffic from Williams Road while someone is getting their hair worked on. We’ve been in this complex for a while, so we know the other shop owners and the hotel staff. The lighting is bright, the floors are clean, and there’s always a faint smell of hair products in the air. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated procedures. It’s just about doing the work and making sure people leave looking a bit better than when they walked in. Sometimes we run behind schedule when it’s a Saturday, but we just keep moving through the list of names and doing what needs doing.
