Victor Plastics

Victor Plastics is located at number 8 in the Suchita Industrial Estate. We are inside the Talwar Compound on Pokhran Road Number 2. The estate is always buzzing with the sound of machines and trucks. Our unit is one of many here. We work with plastic, so there is often that specific smell of warm molds in the air. The floor is concrete and hard on the feet. We have been in this compound for a while now. Most of the workers have been with us for years. We make all sorts of plastic items. It’s a repetitive job, watching the machines and checking the parts as they come out. We have a small office corner with a wooden desk and a couple of filing cabinets. It isn't much to look at, but it works for us. We eat our lunch together in the shade when it’s hot. The gates of the compound stay open during the day for deliveries. We deal with various suppliers for the raw beads. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend half a day fixing them. It’s just the life of a small factory. We keep going until the shift ends. There are stacks of boxes waiting to be loaded onto trucks every evening. It is loud and hot, but we are used to it. We just focus on finishing the daily production list and keeping the machines running smooth.
