Sumaiya High School And Junior College is located on Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Road in Mumbra. This part of Thane is always full of life, and our school is right in the middle of it. Both high school students and the older ones in the junior college share the space. It makes for a very busy environment, especially during the breaks when everyone is out in the corridors. Having been here for a while, the building shows its age with stairs that are worn down in the middle from all the feet walking up and down. No flashy signs or expensive decorations are found here. It’s a practical building meant for getting through the day. The classrooms have the usual wooden benches and big blackboards. On Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Road, the traffic noise is constant, but the students are used to it by now. Teachers usually stay late to finish grading papers or to talk about upcoming exams. Mumbra is a crowded place, and making the most of the space we have is a daily task. You might see stacks of old notebooks in the corner of the office or posters about hygiene on the walls. It is a simple setup where the focus is on basic tasks. When the rainy season hits Thane, time is spent making sure the roof isn't leaking. Keeping a big school running takes a lot of work, and things aren't always perfect in such a crowded area.
