Divine English School And Junior College

You can find us over at the Maitri Developers Campus in Kalher. It is a bit on the outskirts of Thane, so it feels a little different than being in the middle of the city. We have both the school and the junior college here, so there is a wide range of ages. The older students usually hang out near the entrance during their breaks, while the younger ones are kept more to their classrooms. The campus itself is shared with other things, but we have our own designated buildings. It gets really muddy during the monsoon because not everything is paved yet. We often have to tell the kids to leave their wet shoes outside or wipe them well. The classrooms are simple, nothing too fancy. We use the same boards and desks year after year until they really need a fix. The staff comes from all over, some from Kalher itself and others from further into Thane. We have a small area where we get our tea and talk about the day. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for a bit, but we have a generator that eventually kicks in. It is just part of being in this location. The office is small and usually filled with files and ledgers. We don't really have a big reception area, so people just walk right in to ask questions. It is a very down-to-earth place where we just get on with the work.
