Stayoung Streetwear Private Limited

We’re set up out in Badlapur, on the Karjat Road. It’s quite a way out from the main Mumbai city, but we like it here. It’s a bit slower, though the commute for some of us is still a bit of a pain. We’re doing streetwear, which feels a bit different for this neighborhood, but people seem to get it. Our office is in Building Number 4, and it’s nothing special to look at. Just a bunch of desks, some sewing machines, and a lot of boxes of t-shirts. We spend a lot of time arguing over prints and how a hoodie should hang. It’s not all glamour, mostly it's just checking for loose threads and making sure the screen printing didn't smudge. We aren't some big brand with a huge budget. We’re just a small group trying to make clothes that we’d actually want to wear ourselves. The weather in Thane gets pretty intense, so we’ve got a couple of old fans that make a lot of noise but don't do much. That’s just how it is. We deal with the local suppliers and try to get things done as fast as we can. It’s a simple operation, really. We don’t have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to get the clothes made and sent out to whoever wants them.
