Our place, Raymond Ltd., is situated in Jekegram on Pokhran Road No. 1 over in Thane. It’s a big area, and Jekegram feels like its own little world sometimes. We’ve been here in Maharashtra for a long time, and the 400 606 pincode is basically home to us now. The site is quite large because we have a lot going on. It’s not just an office; there are various sections for different parts of the work we do. Pokhran Road can get pretty busy, especially during shift changes when everyone is coming or going at once. We have a lot of people working here, so there’s always someone to talk to in the canteen or the hallways. The work is steady, and we’ve got our routines down after many years. Whether it’s handling the textiles or managing the administrative side of things, there is always something that needs doing before we go home. We don't really go in for fancy talk about what we do; we just show up and do it. The weather in Thane can be a bit humid, but the buildings are solid enough to keep us comfortable. We see the seasons change through the windows, from the heavy monsoon rains to the drier months. It’s a practical environment for everyone. We have trucks coming in and out with supplies and finished goods all the time. It’s a lot of moving parts to keep track of every day.
