Star Kids Convent English School

In Daulat Nagar, over in Mumbra, you will find our school tucked away. It is a lively place because we have so many kids running around from the early morning until the afternoon. Being an English medium school in this neighborhood means we spend a lot of time working on grammar and speaking with the little ones. The classrooms are filled with charts, drawings, and those small wooden desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We started this place because the families around here needed a school that was close to home. You can hear the noise of the traffic from the street, but once the kids start singing their rhymes or reciting their lessons, that is all you really notice. Our teachers are local women who care about the children like they are their own. We have parents dropping off their kids at the gate, often stopping for a quick chat about how their child is doing. It is not a massive institution, just a few rooms where we try to give the kids a decent start. We have a small office where we keep the records and meet with people who come by to ask questions. It gets a bit crowded during the rainy season when everyone is trying to stay dry, but we manage just fine. It is just a simple, honest school for the kids in Mumbra to get their early education and learn how to be around others.
