About St Dominic Savio English School – Education in Thane
St Dominic Savio English School is tucked away in the Rashid Compound area of Kausa. If you know the Asiana Palace building, you can find us pretty easily. Thane is a crowded place, and our corner here is no different, especially when school starts in the morning. We have been here for a bit, teaching kids from the neighborhood. The classrooms are basic, filled with wooden desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. You can hear the teachers' voices echoing through the corridors during lessons. We don't have a huge playground, but the kids find space to play during their breaks. It gets quite noisy around lunchtime with everyone sharing snacks and running around the compound. Our office is usually piled with notebooks and attendance sheets. Managing a school in this part of Thane means dealing with a lot of traffic and local bustle right outside the gates. We have a small team of teachers who stay late most days to finish their marking and get ready for the next day. Sometimes the whiteboards need a good scrub, and the markers run dry at the worst times. We just try to keep things moving along for the families who live around Rashid Compound. It’s a busy life, and the days go by fast. Parents often drop in to chat or check on how their children are doing in class. It is a very local setup, and we like it that way.
