Down at Shashwat Industrial Estate in Bhoidapada, you’ll find our place, Speciality Tapes Industry. We are located off Satvali Road on the Rajawali Road side of Vasai East. It is a real industrial hub, so there are always trucks and tempos moving around the estate. Our workshop stays pretty busy with the sound of machines cutting and winding tape. It’s a bit noisy, but that’s just how it goes when you’re making things. The air always smells a little bit like adhesive, which we don’t even notice anymore. We’ve got rolls of tape stacked up against the walls, all different colors and widths. The floor is concrete and we’ve got some heavy-duty shelving to hold everything. It’s not a place for fancy clothes; we all wear stuff that we don't mind getting a bit of glue on. Vasai East can get pretty crowded, especially during shift changes, so we try to get our shipping done early in the morning before the roads get too blocked. We don’t have a big sales team or anything like that. People usually find us because they need something specific that we can cut to size. We just get the orders, set the machines, and make sure the rolls are packed right into the boxes. It’s honest work, and we’ve been doing it in this same spot for quite a while now. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually a good time to rest for a few minutes.
