Saraswati Vidyalaya High School & Junior College Of Science

Our school is located right in Thane West. It’s a big building because we handle both the high school students and the junior college kids. Most of the science students are pretty busy with their labs and books. It’s a lot of work for them, especially with the board exams always around the corner. We’ve been in this part of Thane for a long time. The classrooms are basic with wooden benches and blackboards. We don’t have air conditioning in every room, so it gets warm during the summer months. The hallways are usually full of students rushing between classes. We try to keep things organized, but with so many teenagers, there is always a bit of chaos. The staff room is always a mess of papers and tea cups. We aren't trying to be the most modern school in the world. We just want to make sure the kids learn their physics and chemistry properly. Parents come by often to talk about grades or just to see how things are going. It’s a very local atmosphere. Most of the teachers live nearby and have been working here for a decade or more. We see siblings come through one after another. It’s just a regular place where education happens every day without a lot of fuss. We focus on the syllabus and getting through the year. That’s our daily routine here in Thane. It is a practical place for learning.
