Living and working in a chawl in Thane means you are never truly alone; there is always someone passing by or a bit of conversation happening outside the door. We started small, and honestly, we’ve stayed that way because it feels right. Our space is modest, just a room where we get our daily tasks done. It’s not a place for meetings in suits; it’s a place for getting your hands dirty and finishing the job. We know most of the people on this street, and that sense of community is important to us. There’s no marketing department here or anyone writing fancy slogans. We just do what we do. The temple nearby gives a bit of a peaceful vibe even when the area gets busy. We’ve spent many years in Kalwa, watching the trains go by and seeing the neighborhood change. Our work is straightforward. We take it one day at a time, making sure we don’t overpromise and always showing up when we are supposed to. It is a simple life, and we are quite content with the way things are going. We just want to keep working and being part of the New Shivaji Nagar fabric.
