You’ll find S. R. International at A-21 in the APMC Market-1, Phase-II area of Vashi. If you’ve ever been to the Vashi market, you know it’s a world of its own. Trucks are coming in at all hours, and there’s a lot of shouting and loading going on. Our spot is right in the thick of it. We’ve been here for quite a while, dealing with the daily flow of goods. It’s a lot of manual work, checking crates and making sure everything is where it should be. The office part is just a small corner where we keep the records. It’s mostly piles of paper and a phone that never seems to stop ringing. We get started early, often before the sun is even up, because that’s when the market is most alive. It’s sweaty, dusty work, but it’s what we do. We know most of the loaders and drivers by name. We don't have time for anything polished or corporate here. We just care about getting the stock moved and keeping our customers happy with what they get. The floors are concrete and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't matter much. We just focus on the trade. When the market slows down in the afternoon, we finally get a chance to sit down and finish the paperwork for the next day.
