Rub Crum

We are located over in Goregaon West, at number 11. It’s a bit of an industrial pocket, and that suits us just fine. Rub Crum is a small operation, and we don’t have a big sign or a fancy lobby. Most of our day is spent dealing with rubber materials, hence the name. The space is filled with the smell of processed rubber, which is something you get used to after a few hours. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know the machines and how to handle the material without making too much of a mess. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the desk in the corner is buried under invoices and samples. Goregaon can be quite a struggle to get through in the mornings, so we usually start early to beat the worst of the heat and the cars. We don't have a website that does much; we mostly just talk to people on the phone or when they drop by the unit. It’s basic work, grinding and sorting, but it keeps the lights on. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend the whole afternoon with wrenches and oil trying to get it going again. We don't pretend to be a big corporation. We’re just a small unit in a busy part of the city trying to get our orders out on time. It’s a lot of physical labor and routine.
