Our school sits right in the Tapsi Pandey Compound on Kashiram Derasari Road. Kalyan City is a busy place, and we are right in the middle of it. Most mornings, you can hear the kids long before you see the building. It’s just a regular place where people from the neighborhood bring their children. The desks are a bit old now, and we keep painting the walls whenever we find some extra time during the summer break. It isn't a fancy setup with big glass windows or anything like that. We have fans that hum quite loudly in the heat, and the teachers usually carry their own water bottles from home. Some days the traffic outside gets a bit much, especially around the time the afternoon shift starts. People know us here because we have been around for a while. We don't have a big marketing team or a shiny website. It's mostly just us answering the phones and keeping the registers updated. The compound gets a little muddy when it rains heavily in Thane, so everyone has to be careful walking in. We spend a lot of time just organizing the classrooms and making sure there is enough chalk. It’s a lot of work running a school in a place like this, but it’s what we do every day. Sometimes the parents stop by just to chat about the local news while waiting for their kids. It feels like a small community inside these walls.
