R K Flour Mill

R K Flour Mill is tucked away in Flat No. 303 over at Central Park Road in Oswal Nagari. Being so close to the Nalasopara East station road means there is always a lot of movement nearby. It is a bit of a climb since we are in a building, but people around here know where to find us when they need their wheat or corn ground into flour. The space is a bit tight with the bags stacked up against the walls, and the sound of the motor can be quite a lot when you are standing right next to it. We spend most of our time checking the grain quality and making sure the stone is set right so the flour comes out just the way people like it for their rotis. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a real pain, but we just wait it out and start back up as soon as we can. Most of the folks who come in are our neighbors from the surrounding buildings. They usually drop off their bags in the morning on their way to the station and pick them up later in the evening when they are heading home. It is a busy routine, and the air is always thick with that earthy smell of fresh grain. We just keep things running as best as we can in this little corner of Nalasopara.
