We’ve been here at Agra Road in Shahapur for a good while now. Our spot is right across from the Civil Court, in the Laxminarayankripa building. It’s a busy area and we see a lot of people passing by every day. My father started this place and I just sort of took over after I finished my schooling. We mostly handle different types of sales here, nothing too fancy, just the stuff people in town need. The shop isn't huge, but we make it work. Most days it’s just me and one other guy helping out with the stock. We open up pretty early, usually before the traffic gets heavy on the main road. Sometimes the rain gets bad and we have to move things inside quickly, but that’s just how it goes in Shahapur. People stop in for a chat as much as they do for buying things. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that because most of our customers are folks who live nearby or work at the court. It’s a steady kind of life. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk. You know how it is when you're running a small place. We’re just happy to be part of the neighborhood and keep the doors open. If you’re ever near the court, you’ve probably seen our sign out front. It’s nothing special, just a local business doing its thing.
