Pink Ink Fashion Studios

Our studio, Pink Ink Fashion Studios, is at Shop No. 1 in the Sai Prasad Apartment building. We’re right on Mumbai Road in the Charai area. If you know where Jyoti Book Store is, we are basically right next door to them. It’s a small shop, tucked away in the ground floor of the apartment block. We spend most of our time at the back where the work happens. It’s not a very quiet place because of the traffic on Mumbai Road, but you get used to the noise after a few days. We started this because we wanted a place to work on our own stuff. The walls are covered with sketches and bits of fabric samples that we’ve collected over time. It can get pretty messy, especially when we’re in the middle of a big project. We don’t have a receptionist or anyone like that. Usually, if the bell rings, one of us just wipes our hands and goes to see who it is. Charai is a nice part of town, even if parking can be a real nightmare for anyone trying to visit us. We’ve fixed up the inside of the shop ourselves, painting the walls and putting up shelves. It’s got a bit of a personal touch, even if it’s not perfect. We just keep doing our work and hope the locals keep noticing us. It’s just a small business trying to make things that look good.
