Nutris Group

Our office is in room 305 of the Commodity Exchange Building. It’s right across from Mathadi Bhavan in the APMC market area of Vashi, Sector 19. If you know Vashi, you know how busy the APMC market gets with all the trucks and the laborers moving goods. It’s a constant buzz of activity from very early in the morning. Being in the Commodity Exchange Building means we are right in the heart of the trade. Nutris Group is just one of many businesses in this big complex. The elevators are usually slow and crowded, so sometimes we just take the stairs if we aren't carrying too much. Inside the office, it’s mostly computers and people talking about prices and shipping dates. It gets pretty loud when the market is in full swing outside. We have a lot of visitors coming in from the market to discuss deals or just to have a quick chat about how the season is going. The view from the window is just more buildings and the tops of trucks. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some maps and maybe a clock that’s a few minutes fast. It’s a workspace for people who understand the commodity business. We drink a lot of chai from the guy downstairs who brings it up in a wire carrier. It’s a tough, fast-paced environment but we’ve been here long enough to find our own rhythm in the middle of the market chaos.
