Mark International

We are over at unit 31 in the Mafco APM Yard. If you know Vashi, you know how hectic Sector 18 gets early in the morning. It’s mostly just us handling the day-to-day operations and making sure things get where they need to go. Most days it’s just a lot of moving crates and checking lists. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit now and the neighbors know us. It’s not the quietest place to work with all the trucks coming through the yard, but we’re used to it. Mark International isn't some big fancy office with glass walls. It's a workspace where we get things done. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times we’re just waiting for a delivery that's stuck in traffic. That’s just how it goes here. We try to keep things simple and not overcomplicate the paperwork. People come by the yard to talk business or just to see what’s in stock today. It gets dusty and loud, but that’s the reality of being in an industrial area like this. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the routine. We've seen the yard change over the years, new faces coming and old ones leaving. We just keep our heads down and stay focused on the tasks in front of us. It’s practical work for practical people who don't mind getting their hands dirty in the market.
