Mac Impex

Being in the APMC Complex means things are always moving around you. We are at R-22 in Phase-II, right in the middle of all the noise in Turbhe Vashi. Mac Impex is just a small part of this massive market. Every morning it’s the same thing—trucks coming in, people shouting at each other, and a lot of dust in the air. We spend our time checking crates and making sure the paperwork matches what’s actually inside. It’s not the cleanest place to work, but it’s where the action is for us. We’ve been here for many years now. You get used to the smell of the market and the way people talk here. We don't have time for fancy talk or long meetings. If a shipment is late, we deal with it right then. If the quality of a batch isn't right, we sort it out with the supplier. Our staff is small, just a few guys who know the market inside out. We grab tea from the stall around the corner and just keep going until the work is finished. The office is just a small cabin really, filled with ledgers and old files stacked on the shelves. It gets very hot in the afternoons but the old fans keep us going. It’s a tough business being in the wholesale market, but it’s what we know how to do. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to keep the business running smooth and pay the bills.
