We are based in the Akurli Industrial Area, specifically units 179 and 180 in Kandul Estate. It’s right on Akurli Road in Kandivali East. Mumbai is a crowded place, and this area is no exception. Our workspace is pretty packed with sewing machines and tables for cutting fabric. There isn't much room for anything else. We’ve been in this estate for a while, and we know most of our neighbors. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, especially when the city gets hit with heavy rains and everything slows down. We don't have a fancy website or a big PR team. We just focus on making the clothes. The air in the workshop is always moving thanks to the big fans we have, but it still gets hot. Our team is like a small family; we’ve worked together for a long time. We don't put on any acts for customers. We show them what we’ve made and let the work speak for itself. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic from Akurli Road and the machines, but we’re used to it. Getting supplies in and out of the estate can be a bit of a struggle sometimes with the narrow lanes. We just take it one day at a time, keeping our heads down and getting the stitching done. Our desks are piled with paperwork and fabric samples, which is exactly how a real workshop looks.
