Lokhandwala Foundation School & Junior College

Lokhandwala Foundation School & Junior College is right in the middle of the Lokhandwala Township in Kandivali East, Mumbai. Our address is on Plot Bearing Cts No. 171/1 A/28, just off Akurli Road. Being in Mumbai, things are always a bit fast-paced around here. The school and the college sections are constantly buzzing with students of all ages running up and down the stairs or waiting for the lifts. We’ve been part of this township for years, watching the high-rise buildings go up all around us while we just kept doing our thing in this corner. The noise from the street is something we have just gotten used to over time. We aren't a small local school anymore; we handle a lot of students every single day, which means there is always a lot of movement in the hallways. The office is usually piled with forms and registers because that’s just how it is in a place this size. We don’t try to act like a fancy international corporate entity with polished floors and glass walls. We are just a local institution where families from the nearby apartments send their kids. The morning assembly and the afternoon rush at the gates are the two biggest events of the day. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, but that is just the nature of running a school in a crowded part of Mumbai. We focus on the daily schedule and making sure the classes happen on time as they should for everyone.
