Lecturer,Interior Decoration,Sir J.J.School Of Art<Mumbai-1

I spend most of my time teaching at the Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai, but my personal base is at A-18, Ananddham CHS in Shree Nagar. That’s over in the Wagle Estate area of Thane. Being a lecturer in interior decoration means I’m usually surrounded by students and theories, but at home in Thane, I look at things more practically. It is a bit of a commute between Mumbai and Thane, but it gives me time to think about different projects. My place in Ananddham is where I keep all my books and old sketches. I’ve been involved with the school for a long time, helping people understand how to put a room together. I don't run a big commercial firm. It’s more about the craft and the teaching side of things for me. People in the neighborhood sometimes ask for advice on their own renovations, and I’m happy to chat about it. The Wagle Estate area has changed a lot over the years, becoming quite a hub. My life is a mix of the academic world at J.J. School and the everyday reality of living in a busy society like Ananddham. I don't use fancy titles or pretend to be more than a teacher who knows a lot about decor. It is a quiet life of drawing, reading, and occasionally helping out with a local project when time permits.
