Krishnaveni High School

Krishnaveni High School sits on Plot No 91/2A/2B along the Nalasopara Station Road. Being so close to the station means it is always noisy outside. You can hear the trains and the people shouting all day long. It is a busy part of Thane and we are right in the middle of it. The school gate is usually crowded in the morning with parents dropping off their children. We have a few floors and the climb up can be a bit much when it's humid. The classrooms are filled with wooden benches that have been there for a long time. I work in the office mostly and it’s a constant stream of people asking for forms or leaving messages. We don't have a lot of extra space so we have to be smart about how we use the rooms. It feels very lived-in. There’s no fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a notice board with old announcements and a clock that’s usually a few minutes fast. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the exams happen on time. The area around Nalasopara West is always moving so we just try to keep a steady pace inside the school walls. It’s a practical setup for the local families who need a school nearby. We just do our jobs and go home like everyone else.
