Kamakshi Oil

Our office is at number 404 in the Nalkhanda Apartments. It’s right there in Kalva West, near the Jama Masjid. Being on the Old Mumbai Pune Highway means there is always noise from the traffic outside. It never really stops. We deal with oils here. It’s a small office, mostly just desks and files and the smell of tea. We’ve been in this building for a while now. It’s not a fancy corporate tower, just a regular apartment building where some floors are used for offices. The walk up to the fourth floor is fine, though the lift works most of the time. We spend the day talking to vendors and checking on our supplies. It gets pretty busy around prayer times because of the mosque nearby, so there are always people moving around outside. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just selling oil and making sure the customers get what they asked for. Sometimes we lose track of time when the orders pile up. We just handle things as they come. It’s a simple setup. We don't use big words or have fancy meetings. We just sit here, take the calls, and do the work that needs doing. The view from the window is mostly just the highway and the roofs of other buildings. It’s home for us during the work week. We like to grab a snack from the vendors downstairs when things get slow in the afternoon. It's just a regular life for us here.
