Jacquardo Apparel Private Limited

We run Jacquardo Apparel out of an apartment in Thane, specifically Vithu Smrutti Apartments in the Vitawa area. It’s flat number 5. It might seem a bit unusual to run a clothing business from a residential building, but it’s how we got started and it works for us. The space is filled with sewing machines, patterns, and stacks of fabric. Sometimes it feels like we’re tripping over things, but we know where everything is. Vitawa is a busy little pocket of Thane, right near the highway, so it’s easy for us to get around, even if the traffic is a nightmare during peak hours. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of workers. It’s just a small, dedicated group of us. We spend our mornings cutting fabric and our afternoons on the phone with vendors. Some days we stay late to finish up a batch of orders when the deadline is tight. We don't have a receptionist or a polished showroom. If you visit, you’ll probably see us in the middle of a mess of threads and scraps. We just want to make decent clothes and earn a living. It’s honest work and we take pride in it, even if the office is just a converted flat. We’ve had to learn how to manage our space well to keep things moving. It’s been a learning process for all of us here since we opened.
