J. Lalji & Company

J. Lalji & Company is tucked away in the Nishigandha building over in Gandhi Nagar. Specifically, we're at 2403 in the housing society there. Being in Bandra East means we are right in the middle of everything, but our spot is actually kind of quiet most of the time. It’s a bit of a trek up if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. We’ve been operating from here for a while. The office isn't very big, so we have to be careful about where we put everything. We mostly just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. There are a few of us here every day. We usually get lunch from the local spots nearby. It’s a decent place to work because you get to see the same faces in the hallway every morning. We don't have a big reception area or shiny furniture. It’s just a practical workspace where we can focus. Gandhi Nagar has changed a lot over the years, but our corner feels pretty much the same. We handle a lot of phone calls and sorting. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy on the desks, but we know where everything is. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people trying to do a good job. We like the location because it's easy for us to get to and it feels like a real community. We just stick to our routines.
