Forms N Fashions

You can find us over at Chetpet, on the second floor of No. 75 Spurtank Road. The name on the door is Forms N Fashions. It’s a busy street outside, but once you climb the stairs to the second floor, things get a little bit quieter. We have a lot of fabric and patterns lying around the place. It’s a bit of a jumble sometimes, with rolls of cloth leaning against the walls and thread scattered on the tables. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that. It’s more of a workspace where the actual making happens. The light coming through the windows is usually pretty good in the afternoons, which helps when we are looking at small details. We’ve been in Chetpet for a while and we like the vibe of the neighborhood. There are always people moving around on Spurtank Road, and it’s easy to get to. We aren't a high-end boutique with someone opening the door for you. We are just a group of people working with clothes and designs. Some of the sewing machines have been with us for years and they make a familiar humming sound all day. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the orders that come in. It’s a bit cramped with all the inventory, but we manage to make it work. It’s a comfortable enough spot for us.
