We are located in the Gurudev Compound over in Sonale. It’s right near the Deep Hotel. If you’ve ever been on that road, you know the traffic can be really bad with all the trucks. Our spot is basically a warehouse where we handle all the clothing. It’s a big space with high ceilings. We spend most of the morning unloading bundles and checking the quality. It’s dusty and loud because of the nearby units. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just some big industrial fans that move the air around. We’ve been at this S No 134/137 address for some time now. The guys who work here are mostly from the nearby villages. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just get the clothes in, check them, and send them out to the shops. Sometimes we find a batch that isn't up to mark and we have to sort it out. That takes all day and makes everyone grumpy. We usually eat our lunch together in the small corner we cleared out. The tea from the guy near the hotel is actually pretty good. We don’t have a glossy brochure or a sales team. We just answer the phone and talk to the people we’ve known for years. It’s hard work, but we are used to the sweat and the long hours in the compound. It is what we do to get by.
