Champa Garments is our little shop located in Old Nilkanth Colony. We are right opposite Barrack No. 1969, at Shop No. 19/26, not far from the Chirag Hotel. The shop is usually packed with rolls of fabric and finished clothes hanging from every available hook. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have more than a couple of customers inside. We’ve been sewing and selling clothes here for quite a few years. It started small, and while we’ve added more stock, the shop itself is still the same size. You can usually hear the hum of the sewing machines coming from the back. We do a lot of the work ourselves, from cutting the cloth to doing the final stitching. It’s a lot of hours standing up, but we’re used to it. The neighborhood is lively, and we get a lot of foot traffic from people heading to the hotel or living in the barracks nearby. We don't have any fancy mirrors or bright lights to show off the clothes. It’s just a simple shop where you can find honest work and decent clothes for a fair price. Sometimes we run out of a particular color of thread and have to go running to find more, but that’s just part of the daily routine. We know most of our customers by name, and they know us. We aren't looking to become a big chain; we just like our little corner here.
