Shyam Sunder Garments

You can find our shop near the Sai Parushah Market. We are in Room 4, Block Number 1993. It’s right on Basant Bahar Road, very close to the old bus stand. Because of the bus stand, this area is always packed with people and traffic. It gets really loud with all the horns and people shouting. We sell clothes, mostly ready-made stuff. Our shop is small and we have clothes hanging from every available hook. We spend most of the day folding things back up after customers look through them. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized. During the festival seasons, it gets so crowded in here you can barely move. We’ve been here for a long time, so we know all the other vendors around the market. We aren't a big showroom with air conditioning. We just have a couple of fans that try their best. Sometimes it’s a struggle to find the right size in the back room because we have so much stock. But we know where everything is, mostly. People come to us because they know we've been here forever. It’s a basic shop, nothing fancy. We just try to sell good stuff at a price that makes sense for the local folks. It's a living and we've been doing it a long time now. Hopefully we stay for many more years and keep serving the market.
