Arya Foods

Arya Foods is tucked away in Ganesh Pada, not too far from Maan Pada and near Fatasil. It’s a busy little corner of the world. There are always people walking by and scooters zooming around. Our building is nothing special to look at from the outside, but we’ve made it our own over the years. We spend most of our time in the back where the food is handled. It gets pretty warm in there during the summer months, so we keep the fans running all day long. We don’t really use fancy language or have long meetings. Most of our communication is just shouting across the room to see who needs what. We source things as locally as we can because it’s easier that way. Sometimes the deliveries are late, and we have to scramble to catch up, but we always manage. The floor is usually covered in some kind of packaging material by the time we’re done for the day. We sweep it all up before we lock the doors and head out. It’s hard work, but it’s honest. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time, and we like the rhythm of it. If you’re ever near Fatasil, you might see our small sign, though it’s a bit faded now. We just focus on getting the food out and making sure everything is packed up right before the sun sets.
