We started this because we liked the idea of growing things closer to where people live. Our space isn't huge, but we make the most of it. We spend most of our mornings checking on the plants. It is a bit of a balancing act, getting the light and the water just right. Sometimes things do not go as planned. We had a pump break down a few months back and it was a real scramble to fix it before the plants suffered. That is the kind of stuff they do not tell you about in the books. We are just a small group of people who enjoy seeing things grow. We do not have a big office with leather chairs. It is more about shelves, pipes, and seedlings. We talk to our neighbors in the building a lot. They were curious at first about what we were doing in here. It is nice to be part of the community in Majiwada. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily chores. There is always something to clean or a system to check. It keeps us busy from Monday to Sunday and we enjoy the pace of it.
