Up here in Jalna, specifically at Gut No 190 in Panewadighansawangi, you’ll find us at Aarohi-Tidke Agrotech Private Limited. It’s a mouthful of a name for a place that is mostly just dirt and hard work. We focus on the agrotech side of things, but don't let the name fool you into thinking we are in some glass building. We are right here in the village, dealing with the same soil and sun as everyone else. We started this because we saw a lot of our neighbors struggling to keep up with new ways of doing things. We wanted a way to bring some of that into our daily lives without losing the way we’ve always done things. It’s not always smooth sailing. We spend a lot of time fixating on small details that probably wouldn't matter to someone in the city. The heat in Jalna can be brutal in the summer, and that's when most of our meetings happen, usually in the shade of a porch. We try to keep things simple. If a tool works, we use it. If it doesn't, we fix it or move on. We aren't here to give a sales pitch. We just live here and work here. Panewadighansawangi is a small place, and everyone knows everyone. That makes things easier in some ways and harder in others, but we wouldn't change it for anything. It’s about keeping the community strong and making sure we can all keep working the land we love.
