Darshna Agritech Farmer Producer Company

Our company, Darshna Agritech Farmer Producer Company, is based at House Number 17 in Dawalwadi. It’s a quiet village in the Badnapur area of Jalna. If you come looking for us, you won't find a big factory. It’s just a simple house where we manage the business of the farm. In Dawalwadi, everyone knows that farming is a gamble with the weather. We started this producer company because we were tired of being the last ones to get paid. Now, at least we have a say in how our crops are sold. The office is usually a bit messy with sacks or samples of grain. We don't have a cleaning crew. We just sweep it out ourselves when it gets too dusty. People from around the district stop by to talk about seeds or just to see what the latest market price is. We have some plastic chairs and a table where we sign all the official documents. It’s a slow process sometimes, getting everyone to agree on things, but that’s just how it goes when you have a lot of different farmers involved. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make life in Jalna a little more stable for our families. It’s hard work, and the sun is hot, but having a place like H. No 17 gives us a bit of a foundation to work from. We just take it one harvest at a time.
