Apka Kisan Agrotech Private Limited is located at Tierra F-101 in the Lodha Splendora complex on Ghodbunder Road. This is in Thane West, which is a pretty busy part of the city. It’s a bit different from a farm because we’re in an apartment building, but this is where we do all the planning and the phone calls. We aren't a huge team with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us trying to bridge the gap between the rural farms and the people here in the city. Ghodbunder Road is always packed with traffic, so we hear the horns all day long. It’s a far cry from the quiet of the fields. We don't have any fancy showroom or retail space. It’s just an office where we coordinate with farmers and try to figure out the best way to move their produce. We spend a lot of time on our mobiles and looking at spreadsheets. It’s not very glamorous, and things get messy when there’s a delay in a shipment or if the weather ruins a batch. We aren't trying to sound like a big tech startup. We’re just regular people who think that farmers deserve a better way to sell their goods. It’s a lot of trial and error, but we keep at it every day from our spot in Thane 400615. It takes a lot of effort to keep everything running on time.
