This facility is located at D 38 along the Thana Belapur Road. We are right in the middle of the TTC MIDC Industrial Area in Sanpada. It's a very industrial part of town, so there are always big trucks moving around and the constant sound of machinery from the nearby plants. Our main thing here is the cold storage. It’s a big, thick-walled building, and most of it has to stay very cold all the time to keep things fresh. We spend a lot of time checking the digital thermometers and making sure the compressors are running right. It’s a big difference when you walk from the hot sun outside into the cold rooms inside. We wear thick jackets even when it's the middle of summer. The staff here is used to the routine of loading and unloading crates from the vans. Everything has to be timed right so the temperature doesn't drop. Sanpada is a good spot for this because of the road connections, but the traffic on Thana Belapur Road can be a real nightmare in the evenings. We’ve got a small office section where we handle the logs and the bills. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping an eye on the power supply. Nothing fancy about the place, just concrete and cooling units. We’ve been part of this industrial zone for years now and we just keep our heads down and work.
