Down in the Masala Market at Sector-19 in Vashi, things get started pretty early. Our spot is G/59 in the Central Facility Building. If you have ever been to this part of Vashi, you know it smells like spices and hard work. We handle a lot of trading from this small space. There are sacks and boxes stacked up almost to the ceiling most days. It’s not the quietest place to spend a day, especially with all the trucks moving in and out of the market area. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking what’s come in on the latest delivery. The floor is concrete and the walls are just plain, because we need the space for goods, not for looking pretty. It’s a bit of a maze getting through the building sometimes when everyone is busy. We’ve been operating out of this unit for a good bit now. Some days are just constant movement, and other days we are just sitting there waiting for a specific shipment to arrive. People know us around the market as the folks who stay late to make sure the counts are right. We don't have a big front office or anything. You just walk into the market, find the Central Facility Building, and look for our sign. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, dealing with products and getting them where they need to go.
