We are based out in Geondab, which is a small area near Haldia in West Bengal. Our office is right at the house, so it’s a very local operation. Purba-Midnapur can get quite humid, so we usually have the fans going all day while we work. As technocrats and consultants, we deal with a lot of technical details for projects in the area. Haldia is a big industrial hub, so there is always something going on nearby. We spend our time looking over plans and talking to people about their technical needs. It’s not a flashy corporate environment at all. We have a couple of old desks and some laptops. Sometimes the power cuts out, and we have to wait it out or use the lanterns if it's late. People from the village know us, and we often help out with small local issues too. We’ve been here since the PIN was 721657. We don't spend money on advertising; we just do our work and let people talk. It's a bit of a walk from the main road to get to our place. We like the community here in West Bengal. It’s a simple way of living and working, and we don't really need much more than that to get the job done. Every project is a bit different but we manage to figure things out.
