Maity Enterprise

Maity Enterprise is out in the village of Ramnagar. Our mailing address is Serampore post, and we fall under the Patashpur police station in Purba Midnapur district. Life out here in the village is definitely slower than what you find in the bigger cities. We deal with various goods depending on what people in the area need at the time. Our building is an older one, but it does the job and keeps our stock dry when the rains come. Since we are in Ramnagar, almost everyone knows each other, so doing business feels more like dealing with friends and neighbors. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing tools. Most of our business is done through face-to-face talk and a handshake. My uncle takes care of the books while I handle the physical work and the travel. The roads around Purba Midnapur can get really messy during the monsoon, which makes it hard to move things around. We have a small van and an old cart that we use to get things where they need to go. Our family has been involved in trade in this village for a long time. It is just how we make our living. We don't have formal meetings; we usually just sit on the front porch in the morning and decide what needs to be done that day. It is a simple, honest way to run a small village business.
