A. & B. Enterprise

We are based out in Vill-Basudevpur, near the Khanjanchak post office. It is a bit of a drive to get here in Purba Midnapur, but it’s where we have always been. A. & B. Enterprise is a local business that deals with whatever the community needs at the time. It is a small operation run by a few of us who grew up in this area. The roads around here can be rough, especially during the monsoon season when the rain doesn't stop for days. We spend a lot of time in the warehouse or out in the yard moving things around. It is dusty work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We don't have a big office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just have a small room with a table where we keep the books. Most of our business is done face-to-face with people we’ve known our whole lives. There is no need for big advertisements when everyone in the village knows who you are and what you do. We keep things simple and honest. Sometimes we have to wait a while for supplies to arrive from the city, but that’s just how it is living a bit further out. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every single day.
