Laxmi-E-Village

Out here in Asadtala, things move a bit slower. Our place, Laxmi-E-Village, is right in the village post area. Nandigram is a big place, but we are tucked away in Purba Midnapur. We do a lot of different things here. Mostly digital work and some paperwork for the locals. It started because people had to travel too far just to get a form printed or check something online. The internet signal can be a bit tricky sometimes depending on the weather. We have a couple of desks and some old chairs for people to sit while they wait. It’s not a big office or anything. Just a room with some machines. We spend a lot of time helping the older folks who don’t know how the computer works. They bring their papers and we sit down and figure it out together. It takes time, but it's okay. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait for it to come back. We keep some tea nearby for those long afternoons. It’s a simple setup. My cousin helps me with the technical stuff when I get stuck. People walk in with all sorts of questions. We try to help where we can. It feels good to be useful in the village. It's nothing fancy, just a local spot where people come when they need a hand with something. We close up when it gets dark because the roads aren't great at night.
